The Office of Readings again may be said at any time it is meant as a kind of spiritual reading on which we meditate devoutly. Prayer During the Day can be said at any time during the day it is intended to provide us with a breathing space during the day when we can raise our minds and hearts to God for a short while. Night Prayer essentially is a bed-time prayer, offered just before we lie down to sleep. Similarly Evening Prayer closes the working day it should be said early evening as a thanksgiving for God’s blessings during the day. Morning Prayer normally begins the day it is our offering of praise as we start another day.
